WISTA strenghtens it's collaboration with other international organizations

On Dec 12th, 2017, WISTA and the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States signed a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a framework for cooperation that enhances joint synergies for the implementation of mutually beneficial programs, projects and activities designed to promote the exchange of experiences, expertise, knowledge and best practices for port development in the Americas.

The parties agreed to cooperate on an international level on technical and training matters as well as on the exchange of information with main areas of interest being port development, cooperation with government agencies and international organizations as well as private initiatives and encouraging the appropriate technical training and personnel improvement to achieve optimal port performance.

This is an important effort in helping WISTA grow the Americas region, particularly Central and South America and we hope to come up with a plan of action in the coming months.
