WISTA Exco member, NAA DENSUA ARYEETEY was a member of the Advisory Committee that planned the conference and continued to advise in relevant matters. Naa Densua, also served as a Panellist for the first session of the programme on September 5th, 2017 on the topic: 'Enhancing West Africa’s regional connectivity – inter modal value chain opportunities to drive social and economic development in Western Africa'.
The highlight of the three-day conference was A Women's breakfast Networking session the idea having been mooted by both Naa and Nevenka Ristic of Hypenica. This came off as scheduled on September 6, 2017, and had a very good number of women in the industry attending.
The former Deputy Minister of Transport and a WISTA Ambassador Hon. Joyce Bawah Mogtari was the keynote speaker on the theme:" Recognising and celebrating the successful and dynamic women driving our West African maritime sector".
A successful conference with WISTA presence being felt and a partnership that has just began but I believe that it will continue for the mutual benefit of both organisations. For more information please visit; www.west.portsevolution.com
