CMA Shipping 2017

WISTA members attending the CMA 2017

The Connecticut Maritime Association, CMA, is a non-profit organization built by its members for its members. It is an Association made of individuals representing every aspect of shipping and international trade.

The CMA's "Shipping"event, held each March in Stamford, Connecticut has gained a reputation as the premier shipping gathering in North America and a "must-attend" event on the business calendar. A dynamic and topical seminar program, combined with cutting edge exhibits and an enormous range of networking opportunities attracts over 2,500 major domestic and international industry players each year. The event culminates in the Commodore Gala Dinner, where an individual, selected by the CMA Board, is presented with the CMA Commodore Award in recognition of outstanding contribution to the maritime industry.

Each year, WISTA USA hosts a luncheon at the CMA Shipping and this year it was the 12th WISTA USA luncheon in a row. Tickets were sold out and a lot of familiar faces were among the delegates.

Mr Rod Jones, President & CEO of CSL Group and a co-winner of WISTA International's 2016 Personality of the Year Award, delivered a keynote speech.

Prior to entering the stage Rod Jones took the opportunity to speak with WISTA USA President Alexandra Anagnostis & WISTA USA Board member, Parker Harrison.

WISTA International President Karin Orsel & WISTA USA member Margaret Doyle had managed to get hold of tickets to the WISTA USA luncheon and met with more women who aöso attended the event.
